Packhouse Supervisor
We are looking for a Packhouse Supervisor to join the Pengelly Farms team.
// JOB DESCRIPTION & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Working in a fast-paced environment, you’ll oversee the farm’s potato grading and packing facilities, and will need to effectively manage the team and equipment to ensure that orders reach our customers. We’re ideally looking for someone with:
- Experience managing a team, preferably with multiple nationalities
- A basic understanding of mechanical equipment
- An agricultural background and/or a good knowledge of agriculture
- The ability to work under pressure
- The ability to plan and prioritise a varied workload
- A basic working knowledge of workplace Health & Safety
- A great level of attention to detail
- A forklift operating license
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
Our packhouse is a hive of activity for much of the year, with orders for different varieties, sizes and quantities of potatoes coming in from our national and international customers. Working closely with the Farm Office team to co-ordinate orders, available people and stocks, you’ll play a key part in helping us get quality Cornish potatoes from farm to fork.
// HOURS: Full-Time, 40+ hours per week (includes evening & weekend working)
